Ising Model

The Ising model describes a lattice of magnetic spins (↑ or ↓) that interact with their neighbours. Below the critical temperature T_c the spins spontaneously align, producing a magnet. Above T_c thermal fluctuations destroy the order. Drag the slider to explore the phase transition.
